And I didn't watch the last film so I'm not sure how the whole Predalien works but for me it would be completely different evolution line

I mean it started as a goo?... Then change into sneaky thing and then into Predalien so...

A Predalien results from a facehugger attacking a Yautja (the aliens from the Predator franchise), and it made its film debut (albeit morphing into a juvenile Queen) in AVP: Requiem. The one that started as goo was Deacon, the proto-Xenomorph from Prometheus.
